Holly Ball Success

Torquay Rowing Club’s Holly Ball, held annually at the English Riviera’s landmark Grand Hotel, is considered to be ‘the’ event of the year amongst the local glitterati – and this year proved to be no exception with revenue up by 10%.

Over 1100 party goers attended the event last Friday (17^th December) and staff at the hotel were all on hand to ensure that everybody enjoyed themselves.   With a superb buffet laid on, plus live music and a disco, the Grand Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for an elegant festive celebration.

“The event was a real success” said the hotel’s general manger, Emily Rogers. “We were delighted to welcome the rowing club and their guests for the evening and everyone seemed to have a good time.  Many stayed with us overnight and then had breakfast with us the next morning.”
