The AA 4 star Fowey hotel sits majestically above the Fowey estuary, offering wonderful views out over the water to the opposite village of Polruan and to sea. It is set in lovely landscaped gardens, one of which is open for Tea in the summer months. Most of Cornwall's key attractions and sites are within easy driving distance of the hotel so it serves as a good base for exploring the rest of the county.

Wind In The Willows Break

It is said that Kenneth Grahame got his inspiration for the first chapter of 'Wind In The Willows' whilst on a boat trip up river to Lerryn from Fowey. We know this to be true as as we have letters from Grahame to his son (written on Fowey Hotel headed paper) proudly displayed in the hotel.

In honour of the 100th Anniversary of the The Wind In The Willows we are providing a fantastic opportunity to explore Fowey through the eyes of Kenneth Grahame. We have organised a 3 night package including a talk from one of Fowey's Blue Badge Guides, a guided walk around Grahame's Fowey haunts, and finally take the very same boat trip up river to Lerryn that he did.

This super 3 night break is available commencing 4th April, 20th April or 3rd May.
