Richardson Hotels is a collection of four very individual hotels situated in some of the UK’s most stunning locations on the Devon and Cornwall coasts.  The hotel group is owned by Keith Richardson.

About

The Richardson Hotel Group was founded in 1990, when Mr Keith Richardson purchased his first hotel - The Idle Rocks Hotel in St Mawes, Cornwall.  Originally planning to convert the hotel into flats, he decided to continue running the hotel and this soon developed into a passion for the hotel industry.  Choosing hotels for their architecture and stunning coastal locations, he then purchased The Fowey Hotel in 1996, The Grand Hotel in 2001, The Metropole Hotel in 2002 and, finally, The Falmouth Hotel in 2004.  His love of beautiful buildings is reflected in an on-going refurbishment programme that aims to restore and renovate the architecture, whilst modernising the interiors in a sympathetic, stylish way that compliments each hotel's heritage.

Keith Richardson
Owner (Richardson Hotels)

Keith Richardson, a chartered accountant, heads the family-owned Richardson group of hotels. From his successful accountancy practice foundation, Keith expanded into the property market in the late 1970s, building up a property portfolio of over 200 properties, prior to entering the hospitality industry with the purchase of his first hotel, in 1988. Passionate about the industry, he has developed a group of hotels with stunning locations, beautiful architecture, comfortable interiors and superb food.
